Bark Brothers Tuning - Project Quattroporte

Vehicle: 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS

Goal: We know the QP doesn’t get much love in the automotive tuning game, nor the Ghibli or Levante, which is a real shame. These are fantastic examples of Italian genius, much more than just posh, highway cruisers. We’ll show you some LOVE!

Summary: We’ve recently uploaded a Stage 1 map with our MAGICMOTORSPORT Flex Tuner, and it’s safe to say we are impressed with the results.

Let’s get straight to the point, and discuss what you’re reading this for, SPORT Mode. Normally, when Sport modes engaged, the QP feels smaller, sharper, pointier, angrier. The wail of the twin turbos takes center stage, as the suspension hunkers down, intent on assisting the power delivery in hopes of fostering a disruption in the planet’s rotation. A svelte vessel no more, its gentle persona subsumed by an axe-wielding psychopath.

With this new, brusque persona revealed, very Jekyll and Hyde’ish, it brings a heightened level of violence you expect. Well, if you’re fuel and asphalt, that is. The thrust from the flash is immediately noticeable, with it coming on sooner, insisting immediately that it is awake, and ready to do dirty, filthy things to the taxpayer-funded highway it treads upon. It’s not harsh, just instantaneous, more so than normal and as a former owner of Alfa’s glorious Giulia Quadrifoglio, this is a welcomed respite from the dreary, luxurious yacht it was only moments ago.

It’s an auspicious start to Project Quattroporte, but sadly, we must conclude our initial observations here. Hopefully, this morsel of information will sustain you as we continue our evaluation of this masterclass of tuning brilliance. We will take full advantage of this weekends beautiful weather, to study the changes, and analyze further observations.
